Therapy & Supervision
with Janine Epere

Life can be heavy. Whether you're navigating trauma, feeling stuck in your relationship, or holding the emotional weight of your work as a therapist—you're not meant to do it alone.

I offer therapy and supervision that’s steady, respectful, and grounded in lived experience and clinical insight. With over 17 years in practice and a background in trauma-informed recovery work, I create space where real healing and clarity can unfold - at your own pace, and on your own terms.

Individual Therapy

Are you carrying old pain that still feels close? Stuck in patterns that keep repeating? Struggling with anxiety, addiction, or deep inner conflict?

In individual therapy, we’ll explore the experiences, beliefs, and emotions that shape how you move through life—and gently work toward new ways of relating to yourself and the world around you.

I specialise in:

  • Complex trauma & PTSD

  • Childhood and attachment wounds

  • Addiction recovery & relapse prevention

  • Anxiety, emotional overwhelm & panic

  • Grief & difficult life events

  • Self-worth & shame

  • Burnout & nervous system dysregulation

  • Faith, identity & meaning-making

Couples Counselling

All relationships go through hard seasons. You might be feeling misunderstood, distant, or caught in repeating arguments that don’t go anywhere.

Couples counselling offers a space to slow things down and listen differently to each other, and to what’s really underneath the tension.

We’ll work together to rebuild safety, connection and clarity, whether you’re navigating conflict, healing from betrayal, or simply trying to reconnect.

Clinical Supervision

Therapists carry a lot. And when you’re working with trauma, burnout, or intense client dynamics, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself.

I offer supervision that is reflective, practical and emotionally supportive. This is a space where you can process your work, grow your clinical insight, and be held in the complexity of what you do.

I’m an ACA-accredited Clinical Supervisor with a specialty in complex trauma and over 100 hours of advanced training with Dr Janina Fisher.

Supervision can include:

  • Case reflection and conceptualisation

  • Trauma-informed frameworks and tools

  • Emotional processing and self-care strategies

  • Identity, ethics, and boundary support

More About My Clinical Background

I’m open about my training because trust matters in therapy. I combine clinical training and lived experience to support people through trauma, addiction, and relationship challenges.

My approach is open, relaxed, and tailored to you, using a mix of techniques to help you reach your goals as practically and quickly as possible.

Background & Trainings

I hold a Master of Counselling and am an Accredited Clinical Supervisor through the Australian Counselling Association.

My formal qualifications include:

  • Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Family Therapy

In addition to academic training, I’ve completed over 100 hours of specialised trauma education with Dr Janina Fisher, focused on working with complex trauma, dissociation, and attachment wounds. I regularly participate in professional development and receive over 30 hours of clinical supervision annually to maintain high standards in my practice.

Therapeutic Approaches

I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach. No two people are the same, and therapy shouldn’t be either.

  • Internal Family Systems (parts work)

  • Attachment theory

  • Narrative therapy

  • Family Systems

  • Mindfulness-based approaches

I tailor each session to your needs and will always work collaboratively with you to find what feels supportive and effective.

I work with adults, couples, and therapists.

Common issues I support people with include:

  • Complex and developmental trauma

  • PTSD and nervous system dysregulation

  • Addiction, self-harm, and eating struggles

  • Anxiety, grief, and emotional overwhelm

  • Relationship breakdowns, communication issues

  • ISAAC (International Substance and Addiction Abuse Coalition)

I am also an accredited Clinical Supervisor through ACA’s College of Supervisors. In supervision, I create space for reflection, growth and honest conversation. Whether you're new to the field or experienced and feeling stretched, this is a place to pause, regroup and feel supported in the work you do.

My
Approach

Everyone’s story is different, so the way we work together will be too.

I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach that includes somatic (body-based), narrative, and attachment-focused methods.

I’ve trained extensively under trauma expert Dr Janina Fisher and draw from her work in sensorimotor psychotherapy, parts work and nervous system regulation. But more than any method, I offer a space where you don’t have to hide, minimise or explain away your pain.

We’ll take our time.
You’ll be heard.

And together we’ll explore what healing might look like for you.
