Anxiety
Anxiety is a state that is characterised by behavioural, emotional, cognitive and physical symptoms that create feelings that are often linked with fear or worry. It is a state that is both psychological and physical. Anxiety is different to fear though which occurs usually when there is an external threat related to the need to escape or avoid. Anxiety on the other hand is the result of threats a person perceives to be there but they cannot control or avoid them. Anxiety can be treated and therapy can help you to respond in more positive ways to feelings and sensations that seem unavoidable.
